The engine control unit (ECU) design is our history, and the results obtained by our clients and by our products represent evidence. Our expertize allow us to manage the whole, in-house design phase of the products, developing hardware, sofware and firmware on our own.This allows us to guarantee our customer the utmost confidentiality, flexibility and cheap prices. We provide solutions based on our standard Hw products, offering at the same time, the possibility of customization and exclusivity of the final product.The products traceability and identification are guaranteed by the laser marking procedure made during the final quality control process. As for motorsport products, we use the same production lines and all the quality standard adopted and required by the OEM industry, with AECQ200 certified components with an extended operating temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C.
Control unit for the measurement of the combustion stoichiometric ratio, by means of Lambda Wide Band sensor (LSU4.9 ™). These devices add new functionalities and expand the engine control units (ECU) not only during calibration but also during normal use. They can be used as single devices, during control processes in industrial application or during check processes in the engine test room. Their configurability, ensures a unique application flexibility, having both programmable outputs for analogic interfaces and a communication on CANBUS. They can be used in modular mode in order to check in real time the reading and the correction on the single cylinder. They have an advanced diagnostic and control system of the sensor internal temperature, which ensures safety and durability. They are available also in ready pre-configured KIT for the individual cylinders calibration.
Mectronik was born as a software house, but today it represents an innovative, high-qualified and independent company for the software development, for the automotive market and the embedded platforms too. The increasing systems complexity and the constant research of processes, which ensure data confidentiality and safety, require flexibility and methodology in addition to suitable tools and advance technologic platforms. For this reason the company is investing on technological progress and on development strategies in order to manage in-house the whole design phase. A particular attention is given to the possible integration with mathematical simulation environments such as MatLab© and Simulink ®, Model-Based software, standard communication protocols as SAE 1939, and the management of protocols for the ECU calibration based on XCP and CCP standards.
Mectronik provides software and products for data acquisition, of the German company “2D Datarecording”, a world famous partner for its innovative and high quality products. Its target is to design and develop smaller and more powerful products; an example is the logger for the CANBUS line used in the motorsport market. These include a wide range of products starting from the simple logger up to more complex systems equipped with radio telemetry, passing through pressure and temperature monitoring of tyres and the visualization on small and big displays. Most of the products have been already homologated for the use in national and international championships.
WinArace is a state-of-the-art tool made up of three programs for the data management, communication and analysis and it is the most used tool for the data analysis in the motorsport field. Thanks to intuitive and customized instruments, it is also used for the development of series production. It is available in different licensed and scalable versions which satisfies all requests, from the simplest and cheapest to the most complete request, offering the possibility to manage and share data and licenses between technicians. There are many possibilities to create mathematical channels for complex numerical analysis, for data and results import and export in standard format, in addition to the communication with simulation and model-based software (MATLAB/SIMULINK). This software can be used with 2D data acquisition systems, with our engine control units (ECUs) data, and as integration into the calibration software MeCal. Therefore it is the essential instrument for all calibration activities. Through the use of specific plug-in it can import and analyze data recorded on other systems. (ex. Moto2, Moto3, MotoGp, other manufacturers’ data acquisition).
Devices up to 32 analogic channels with sampling rate up to 6,4 KHz, 512 Channels on 4 CANBUS line, 4GB INTERNAL MEMORY with Ethernet or USB connection. These are only an example of what we can supply. A particular focus is given to USB STICK LOGGER family, a compact device developed for the data recording from CANBUS line, with some analogic inputs and can be pre-configured to connect directly to Ecu MKEx. Its peculiarity is that it can record data directly on a USB memory (memory stick), making the data download on PC simple and rapid, and it doesn’t need a physical connection to the vehicle. Most of the devices have been already homologated for the use in national and international championships. Scalable and fully configurable systems can be integrated with GPS antennas and expanders to read high-resolution analogic signals, digital signals, frequency, thermocouples, thermistors, strain gages or other, exchanging data on CAN line both with “2D Datarecording” data acquisition systems and with other connected devices. Furthermore it is possible, through simple configurations, to create mathematical channels calculated in real time directly from the devices. This characteristic increases the systems potentiality, offering the technicians unique working instruments.
In order to show the measured values, warnings or information messages such as ECU diagnostic or Race Direction decisions, you can choose the model that best satisfies your needs. All models are programmable, have more pages and like the data acquisition systems, they can create complex mathematical channels calculated in real time. This unique functionality, can be used to calculate estimated Lap times, time on track sectors, pit time and distances as well. All dashboards are designed with high-contrast display.
We provide exclusively high-quality and certified reliability sensors. Linear transducers, pressure transducers, standard or contactless temperature transducers. Some of these sensors, such as Quickshifter sensor or engine oil pressure sensor have been developed to connect to the ECU MKEx too, and have been homologated for the use in main world championships.
